Phil Foden will sign a new contract with Manchester City. According to ‘The Daily Mail’, it will see him continue playing his football at the Etihad until 2027. The left winger has two years left on his current contract with The Sky Blues.
Manchester City have sped up the renewal negotiations following the exits of two big guns from the squad this summer, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling. Both players swapped Manchester for London, moving to Arsenaland Chelsea respectively.
The attacker from Stockport is set to receive four times more in wages than the 35,000 pounds a week he is payed currently. After accepting this wage boost, Foden will become one of the highest paid players in the City squad.
Last season, Foden appeared in46 official matches, scoring 14 goals and making eleven assists. He was a Premier League winner, and Champions League and FA Cup semi-finalist.
The player has performed extremely well at the club winning the premier league and contributing to their Champions League campaign in europe.
